Start at the beginning with 1897’s _Monigoty_, the first work told entirely in graphic narrative! Then roam the galleries of the Museu del comic i la illustració and watch as comics transform themselves in the 20th century to the billion dollar industry they are today. Particular attention has been paid to comic books' transition during the 1980s to an adult industry, so look out for instrumental works that helped change the scene.
Alongside the museum’s impressive permanent collection, it also hosts a range of temporary exhibits throughout the year, so if you have a favorite draftsman or author, keep an eye out – you might have the chance to dive deep into their catalogues of work.
