The experience
Did you know that Schiphol is one of the biggest airports in the world? Arriving at Amsterdam's airport can be overwhelming for the first time. If you're wondering how to get from Schiphol into central Amsterdam, ignore the many taxis (which will generally charge you 50 euros to take you to the city center), buses, and private airport transfers.
The train is the fastest connection between the airport and the center of Amsterdam. It departs around every 10 minutes from early morning until midnight and the travel time is only 15 minutes. You will arrive at Amsterdam Central Station, right next to some of the city's most popular hotels. This is also the central hub for taxis, metros, trams and buses all over the city. Plus, the beautiful 19th-century train station is a bit of a cultural landmark itself too!
