The experience
Get lost in a story-inspired Venice labyrinth
Venice's maze-like map just got even more complicated with the Borges Labyrinth. Inspired by Argentine author Jorge Luis Borges' short story _The Garden of Forking Paths_, this kilometer-long labyrinth – comprised of 3,200 boxwood plants – is a fascinating escape from the city streets.
During the tour you'll have the chance to explore the maze with an audio guide which includes an orchestral accompaniment by composer Antonio Fresa, performed by the Teatro La Fenice Orchestra.
After you've escaped the labyrinth, step inside the Nuova Manica Lunga, a vast library that was once the dormitory of ancient Benedictine monks. With 1,400 meters of shelving and some 100,000 volumes that extend from floor to arched ceiling, this is every literature lover's dream.
