The experience
Carve a slice of Dutch history at the completely unique Friesian Ice Skating Museum, and see the largest collection of ice skates in the world, alongside a huge collection of amazing archival material, artworks, dioramas, and more amazing special exhibitions that illustrate the Netherlands' rich and storied connection to ice skating.
You can also follow a Hindeloopen painting workshop by a real Hindeloopen painter, and buy authentic paintings in the museum shop. There's also a pretty impressive collection of hand-painted clogs to keep an eye out for!
After your visit, what better way to relax and soak up that timeless Friesian atmosphere than with a cup of coffee, lunch, or a delicious pancake on the sun terrace at one of the many charming canals of Hindeloopen?
