Museu Tesouro Real, or the Royal Treasury Museum, allows you to pore over Portugal's glimmering gold and silver inside a new wing of Ajuda National Palace in Lisbon.

A visit to the Royal Treasure Museum covers 11 separate themes and interactive exhibits across three floors. One of the largest collections of its kind, you'll flash your Royal Treasure Museum tickets and begin a self-guided tour by admiring gold and diamonds of Brazil, and coins and medals of the Crown.

Elsewhere there's jewelry from the palace collection, ritual objects of the monarchy, Crown silverware, and treasures from private collections and diplomatic gifts.
