See the sunrise from the golden pagoda at Doi Suthep

While the 306-staircase may seem daunting for some travelers, the unrivaled mountain views at the top of Doi Suthep Temple is well worth the exercise.

See the Doi Suthep sunrise light up the sky with a rainbow of golden hues, and take some of the best photos you'll get on your visit to Chiang Mai.

After the Doi Suthep Sunrise Tour, head to the large, golden Kruba Srivichai Monument, named after the Thai Buddhist monk and engineer who built many temples and roads during the late 80s and early 90s. Then, absorb the lush jungles and serene statues and shrines at the hidden temple of Wat Pha La.

Wrap up your half day morning tour with a stop at Wat U-Mong, a 700-year-old temple built in 1297. Explore the underground tunnels, forest surroundings and marvel at the magnificent chedi. Finally, you'll be dropped off at your accommodation to wind down from a day well spent.
