Access to St. Peter’s Basilica may be restricted at any time, such as in cases of overcrowding, unexpected closures decided by the Vatican, or any other force majeure circumstances. In such cases, the guide will continue the tour with an alternative visit

Meet your guide at the meeting point in Piazza Pio XII, 5 (inside Capriotti Store)
Show the smartphone ticket to the guide
The guide will escort you inside the Museums and provide you with a paper ticket
The guide will not be able to accompany you into the Sistine Chapel, but will give you an overview before you enter
Due to the papal conclave, the Sistine Chapel closed on April 28; therefore, the tour guide will continue the visit with a special alternative: Raphael's Rooms. Entrance to St Peter's Basilica will be made from the outside, through a dedicated line
