The experience
Discover the subterranean wonders of San Jose by boat and on foot
The San José Caves are a must-see when visiting Valencia. Accompanied by your guide, explore the caves on foot and by boat, navigating Europe’s longest underground river. Admire the stalactite and stalagmite formations of the caves.
Depart from Valencia by bus to the village of Vall d’Uixo, where the famous caves are situated. Your guide will provide an overview of the cave system, including its impressive 3,000-meter-long underground river.
Inside the cave, hop on a small boat to explore the subterranean wonders. Admire the geological formations and ancient cave paintings as you glide along the river. After the boat ride, continue on foot through the dry gallery.
Before heading back to Valencia, enjoy 30 minutes of free time to explore the Iberian archaeological sites, grab a coffee, or visit the souvenir shop.
