Start by visiting Parque da Ribeira dos Caldeirões, a large natural park in Nordeste. See local plants and a waterfall. Look out for the Priolo bird, native to this island.

Next, visit the Nordeste parish, once known for its flowers. Stop at three viewpoints for different views of the Northern Coast.

For lunch, head to Povoação, a small town. Eat at a local restaurant offering traditional meals. After lunch, walk through the town and admire the setting.
