The experience
See a medieval cistern and the Royal Pantheon of the Bragança Dynasty
Visit the Monastery in Lisbon, an important historical site and symbol of Portugal's royal history.
The Monastery is a prime example of mannerist architecture in Portugal. It was founded by D. Afonso Henriques in the 12th century and rebuilt by D. Filipe I in the 16th century.
Explore the largest collection of baroque tiles in their original setting and see the medieval cistern, which is still functional today.
Visit the sacristy, whose walls are adorned with inlaid marbles. Also, visit the Royal Pantheon of the Bragança Dynasty, which houses the tombs of the last Portuguese royal family.
View an exhibition of 38 fables by Jean de La Fontaine, illustrated on tile panels.
