Watch a 12-minute film on Iceland’s volcanoes at the LAVA Centre in South Iceland.
See eruptions from Hekla, Katla, Eyjafjallajökull, Grímsvötn, Holuhraun, and the 1973 Heimaey eruption in the Westman Islands, all in 4K resolution. Observe the formation of Surtsey, a volcanic island and UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The film also covers recent eruptions on the Reykjanes Peninsula, including Fagradalsfjall and Sundhnúkagígar, near Grindavík and the Blue Lagoon.
