The experience
Travel through Berchtesgadener Land in the Bavarian Alps. Start from Salzburg and follow the Salzach River into Germany, passing through the historic Obersalzberg area.
Visit Königssee (King’s Lake), surrounded by steep alpine peaks like Watzmann. Enjoy walks along the lake, check out the lakeside village, and see the scenic views.
On the way back, stop in the town of Berchtesgaden. This area, once a retreat for nobility, now offers history, alpine culture, and natural beauty within Berchtesgaden National Park.
