The experience
Visit the northern part of the island to see two protected natural areas, La Corona Volcano and Famara Cliffs.
Start in the village of Ye and head towards La Corona Volcano. On the way up to its crater, see agricultural landscapes and lava flows with large basaltic blocks extending towards the sea.
Walk around the east side of the crater to view the volcano's 7.6 km-long lava tube, with 1.6 km submerged underwater.
After descending, walk several kilometers along the central part of Famara Cliffs, which rise from sea level to over 500 m.
