The experience
View ancient cave art and learn about the cave's discovery
Lascaux II is the first replica of the original cave, which was closed to the public in 1940. It is located about 50 m from the original site.
During a guided tour, you’ll visit two reproduced areas, the Hall of the Bulls and the Axial Diverticulum. The tour explains how the cave was discovered and provides background on the artwork.
The visit takes place in a controlled setting designed to reflect the original cave environment.
