Tour historic rooms and walk through gardens

Named "the white house on the hill," Como House offers a look into the lives of the Armytage family, who resided there for over 95 years.

A guided tour includes access to grand reception rooms, period furniture, the preserved servants’ quarters, and kitchens.

Your guide will share information about the estate’s history during Melbourne’s periods of economic growth and challenges, such as the Gold Rush and the Great Depression.

Surrounding the house are approximately six acres of gardens, including mature plantings dating to the mid-19th century, the Elias Stone Garden, and a perennial border designed by Paul Bangay.

These gardens are cared for by a group of staff and volunteers. Your ticket includes a National Trust souvenir, such as a tote bag, keyring, or small toy, offered based on availability.
