Must know

Mass is held on Sundays at 11:00

The Abbey is closed between 13:30 and 14:00

Knees and shoulders must be covered to visit the Abbey. No low-cut or sleeveless tops, no shorts

The abbey is best reachable by car. There is a free parking area for motorhomes above the Arca di Sant'Antimo Bookshop

The nearest train station is Buonconvento (Grosseto - Siena line)

Bus: Line 0P1 from Montalcino to Castelnuovo Abate. From there, it's a 15-minute walk

The Path of Light tour “Via della Luce” can be booked (if available) on the spot paying € 7. It’s not possible to book it online because it’s not always available
