Pulau Ketam translates to 'Crab Island', and it's a sleepy, mangrove swamp-rich Chinese fishing settlement founded circa 1880. Though it's just an hour drive and a 30-minute ferry ride out of bustling KL, life comes to a standstill here as you step into a time capsule of Malaysia's rural past.

09:30: Standby for pickup

09:45: Depart to Port Klang

10:30: Take ferry to Pulau Ketam

11:00: Arrive at Pulau Ketam; stroll through the island

11:30: Explore market square, local homes, schools, temple, and fishery industries

13:00: Simple local lunch (menu subject to change)

14:00: Depart Pulau Ketam and return to Kuala Lumpur

15:30: Visit Sultan Salahuddin Mosque

16:30: Visit Thean Hou Temple

17:30: Drop off at original pick-up locations

How to use

Solo travelers must reach Berjaya Times Square (main entrance) on their own

The supplier will email you the evening before (after 20:00) with time and driver details

Arrive at the hotel lobby 15 minutes before pickup

Show your smartphone voucher to the driver upon pickup
